The Versatility of French Bread

 

Classic french bread is a staple throughout the USA and around the world. At Apple Annie’s Bake Shop we make and bake our french bread, from scratch, every single morning. We shape the french dough into various shapes including the classic french, baguettes, round rolls, Italian loaves, club rolls, wedges, and pointed rolls. In this post we will focus on the many things you can do with a long french loaf!

 

Such a simple dough creates a tasty bread with a crusty outside & soft, doughy inside. And the simplicity allows it to be used for so many different items!  Of course you can simply have this bread with butter or olive oil to accompany virtually any dish (especially French or Italian ones). But, here are some other things you can use it for:

 

1. A tasty cold cut sandwich loaded with your favorite meats, cheeses, vegetables & condiments

 

2. Pizza! What is easier than a french bread pizza? Here we have a margarita pizza and a pepperoni pizza

 

3. Delicious garlic bread. We mix minced garlic with soft butter & a bit of finely chopped parsley. Then we top it with just a little bit of parmesan!
